Seller Privacy Notice

How we handle your personal data when you offer us an item through Sell Your Bag.

This notice applies when you offer us an item through our Sell Your Bag form and, if we proceed, when we complete the purchase. It sits alongside our general Privacy Policy, which covers shopping with us. What we collect

When you submit the form: your name, email address, phone number, and the photos and description of your item.

If we proceed to a purchase: your address, the data from your identity document (names, personal identification number or date of birth, document number), your bank account (IBAN) held in your own name, and your signature on the purchase agreement. Because purchases are normally completed remotely, we will ask you to send a copy or clear photograph of your identity document together with the signed agreement. If you hand the item over in person, we only record the document’s details and do not keep a copy.

We never ask for identity documents or bank details at the form stage — be cautious of anyone who does.

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

To review your submission and send you an offer — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To conclude and perform the purchase, including payment to your bank account — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To meet our legal obligations under Bulgarian accounting and tax law — documenting the identity of the person we buy from and reporting amounts paid to individuals to the National Revenue Agency — compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

To verify items against records of lost or stolen goods, prevent fraud, and establish or defend legal claims — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who receives your data

Our accountants, our bank, courier companies (name, address and phone number, to arrange insured pickup), the providers of our form platform and e-commerce platform acting as processors, and public authorities where the law requires it — in particular the National Revenue Agency. Where a processor operates outside the EEA, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. We never sell your data and never use it for marketing without your separate consent.

How long we keep it

If your submission does not lead to a purchase, we delete it — including the photos — within 6 months of our final reply.

If we purchase your item, we keep the purchase file (agreement, identity data, payment records) for the retention period required by Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation — up to 11 years. We have no discretion to shorten this.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, within the limits of the GDPR. Where processing is based on our legitimate interest, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. Where the law requires us to keep records, we may not be able to erase them before the statutory period ends.

To exercise any of these rights, write to support@plamexs.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (www.cpdp.bg) or with the data protection supervisory authority in your own EU country.
